What Can I Do? Yeti's Story

Several weeks ago I received an email from a young lady named Marcela. She was seeking assistance for a cat in her neighborhood that she had name "Yeti". Marcela explained in her email that Yeti's right front paw was badly injured and she was looking for someone who could help him. she included several pictures of Yeti so that I could see the extent of his injury.

At the time she contacted us we had our hands full with rescues and were unable to help directly. I offered to assist her in finding help for Yeti in my reply, but one of the other organizations she emailed had already said they would help. She told me that she was driving Yeti to Cat's Angels Inc.(http://www.catsangels.com) in Fernandina Beach FL, which is several hours away. Cat's Angels offered to help Yeti and find him a home if possible. Marcela took a couple of pictures of Yeti when she delivered him to Cat's Angels and sent them to me. She also told me that she would update me on his condition when she knew anything.

Yeti & Marcela

A short time later I received another email from Marcela along with some pictures of Yeti after his surgery. The injury to his paw was so severe that they had to amputate his leg at the shoulder. These pictures where taken only a short time after the operation and it looks as though he is on his way to recovery. According to Marcela, Cat's Angel's may already have someone to adopt Yeti once he is fully recovered. Yeti finding a loving home would be the perfect ending to this story!

Thanks to the kind and caring heart of Marcela and Cat's Angels Yeti may now have a chance at life he would have never had before. This just goes to show how one person can have such a dramatic affect on the life of an animal if only they take the time to care.

Hopefully I will receive updates and pictures of Yeti in the future so that I can pass the information along to the visitors of this site.
