A couple years ago we set up one of our spare rooms as a "CAT" room. I put in 3 large cat-trees along with their litter boxes, food dishes and water fountains. We also placed a window seat in the one window, which was the most popular spot in the house. They fought over seat and so many would pile on that they actually broke the seat several times. They loved laying in the sun shine and watching the activity from the birds and squirrels outside.

I started thinking about building some kind of outside area from which the carts could enjoy the sun and outdoors in relative safety. After much planning and procrastination, my plan finally came to fruition.
I spent the last week and a half of my vacation in July constructing the Scooter & Sassy Memorial Catatorium & Sun Deck! (Read Scooter's Story)
I built the Catatorium just outside the window of the cat room and installed a cat door in the lower half of the window to allow access. I could have gotten all fancy and modern, but I chose to build something simple and functional. Since a picture is worth a thousands words, I'll tell the story with some pictures and captions.
